Find the best activities, events and experiences for kids and families during the Spring school holidays in our school holiday round up.

Kids driving you insane? With the second week of school holidays here, it’s the perfect time to head outside and soak up some sunshine. We’ve rounded up our top five activities, but there is so much more to be discovered.

  1. For free school holiday adventures, look no further than our local parks and playgrounds. Mother Nature offers the perfect setting, including the Memorial Gardens (below), just waiting to be explored! Not convinced? Check out the review by Kids in Adelaide.

  2. Located just across the road from us is Croc’s Playcentre. A great spot for the littlies. The kids can burn off plenty of energy while you can relax with a coffee and treat from Muffin Break.

Nearby, Funtopia Prospect enhances family fun with its impressive 5-storey playground, state-of-the-art rock climbing wall, and a safe baby area, alongside restaurant-quality food and drink options, including a selection of beer and wine, catering to all ages and ensuring a memorable day out for everyone. 3. If you love animals, visit Churchill Centre to see Wilbur’s Wildlife display, where you can interact with native animals—no booking necessary, but it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. While you're there, check out the Little Chicago Express, which features Adelaide’s largest free indoor shopping centre playground! Picture courtesy of Kids in Adelaide.

  4. A short drive up the freeway takes you to Beerenberg Farm (below) for strawberry picking or to Melbas for delicious chocolate treats. Picture courtesy of Beerenberg.

  5. Visit the Payinthi Library for a relaxing experience that goes beyond just books. They offer a variety of activities and a school holiday program, making libraries more engaging and more fun than ever.
